Pre'Utopia'. Ten and Martha get stuck between a dragon and a hard Queen. It's not hard for the Doctor to make his choice, nor spring into action, but who will Martha believe?

A good, solid DW adventure.

Summary: Ten and Martha need to go shopping: a day in the life of other TARDIS rooms, sleeping habits and home truths. Happens straight after episode 3.6 The Lazarus Experiment.

I like this because: a) there are a range of emotions here - frustration, annoyance, hurt, argument, amity, teasing - for both Martha and the Doctor b) some tasty turns of phrase c) alien aliens d) even a small adventure with the Doctor is fun.

Quote:
The Doctor was asleep. Or at least, he appeared to be. But just like most things he did when awake, the Doctor was doing it with enthusiasm.
He had taken off his brown jacket and hung it over the backrest of the old wooden chair. His right ankle was perched on the corner of the writing desk, his left crossed over it carelessly. She couldn't help but notice that his shoes were missing, and his red socks were twisted. The black seams ran vertically back over his feet, not across his toes. It made her smile for some strange reason.
