I like this idea! Mixing crochet, chains, and semi-precious donut-beads.\015\012This shows earrings, but one could use this idea for a necklace too, and possibly use more complex maille weaves with this mix of rings.

The weaves looks like Byzantine. I like how the beads are joined to make it a wavy zig-zag.
