October 2002
2nd October 2002
Added a "best of" section to the Net-Fic Reviews page.
Added reviews of the "Journeyverse" series #1, #2 by Tenhawks to the Net-Fic Reviews page.

After reading a web-design tutorial at http://wdvl.internet.com/ I've redone all the KatSpace logos, so that they actually say "KatSpace" rather than the annoyingly cryptic "KaSp". So of course I've had to change the About This Site page too. And I repositioned the Top-Navigation logo so that the logo is in the top left since that's more conventional and therefore less confusing. I also changed the linking policy in the Site FAQ after suggestions from the same web-design tutorial.

Re-did the logos and the style-sheet for the Lindor Archives page (which also includes redoing the style sheet for the reports of the Blake's 7 conventions on the Events page, since they use the same style sheet).
Got rid of the "Search the net" page. People already have their favourite search engines, and its presence was making it rather messy to construct the "search the site" pages. (Don't ask) Also gave a choice of "Simple Search" and "Advanced Search" on the search page.
6th October 2002
Updated some sections of my How To Do DTP with LyX page, after getting some useful tips from LyX Quickstart.
Added a review of "Relative Space" by Brook Henson to the Net-Fic Reviews page.
7th October 2002
Messing around with the navigation menus and stylesheets a bit. Shouldn't notice a difference, unless you are using a non-CSS browser, in which case you should no longer get that annoying long navigation list when the page is set to side-navigation.
9th October 2002
Moved the reviews of CiceroCat's fiction to the Gone-but-not-forgotten page.
11th October 2002
Ran checkbot over the site and fixed up a fair few broken links, most of which were external. The links page is now somewhat thinner.
Tweaked a few of my scripts in the tools page so that their help options were better. No change in functionality.
Also spent too much time consolidating some of my embedded perl into its own module -- and then debugging it all.

Another version of AsciiDB::DeepFields after another weekend looking at XML. This version allows one to create an XML version of the data in yet another format, which depends on sorting the data first. (All non-techy people can yawn now.)
