This was photographed on August the 5th, not actually in my mother's garden, but on the way home. There are two basketball courts in the local sports reserve, one of which is used, and the other is neglected. I prefer the neglected one, because it has all these lovely colonies of lichen on it. This patch was unusual because it was also surrounded by moss.
